EL037 - UV FLEXO COLD FOIL ADHESIVE
DESCRIPTION
Post-cure UV curable flexo cold foil adhesive for coating of paper and filmic substrates. Low viscosity for flexo / roller application.
PROPERTIES
Good adhesion, Fast cure. Low viscosity. Solvent free
APPLICATION
Stir well before use. Anilox 100-180 l/cm, Film weight 6 - 12 g/cm3, Rollers EPDM, UV lamps minimum 80 w/cm, Nip pressure 20-60 psi (2-6 bar), Hard rubber nip roller (durometer 85 shore A or greater) required.
NB - This is a post-cure cold foil adhesive. The adhesive is applied to the substrate, and the substrate and foil are nipped together before curing.
Pre-cure adhesives are also available.

Paper and board, Treated/primed polyethylene, Treated/primed polypropylene, Polyester , PVC
STORAGE & HANDLING
Store at temperatures between 150C and 200C. Protect from sunlight. In unopened containers EL037 has a shelf life of 12 months.

EL284 - UV PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE
DESCRIPTION
UV curable pressure sensitive adhesive for coating of paper and filmic substrates. Low viscosity for flexo / roller application, but also suitable for screen applications.
PROPERTIES
High tack, Good adhesion, Fast cure, Low viscosity, Solvent free. The final adhesive properties can be adjusted by the UV energy, temperature and type of UV bulbs that are used.
APPLICATION
Stir well before use, Common film weight 15 - 30 g/cm3 is used, Rollers EPDM. High tack and good adhesion values have been shown with 20gsm film weight, 240 Watt/cm lamps, and 20m/min press speed.
SUBSTRATES
Paper and board, Treated/primed polyethylene, Treated/primed polypropylene, Polyester, PVC. Due to the variety of different substrates on the market, customer trials will be needed to assess individual suitability.
STORAGE & HANDLING
Store at temperatures between 150C and 250C. Protect from sunlight. In unopened containers EL284 has a shelf life of 9 months.
