    Pulse Roll Label Products launches a new range. The UV DIGITECH VARNISH range includes Gloss, Matt, Foil Blockable and also a UV Digicon Primer. This primer enables in-line UV priming or overprinting of UV inks to accept digital.

EL088 - UV FLEXO PEEL and READ VARNISH

DESCRIPTION
Mid viscosity semi-gloss varnish with excellent release properties.

PROPERTIES
Excellent release, Good chemical and product resistance. Mid viscosity. Good adhesion. Not suitable for foil blocking / thermal transfer

APPLICATION
Stir / shake very well before use. Film weight 6 g/cm3 minimum. Rollers EPDM. UV Lamps: minimum 120 w/cm. Print speeds up to 80 m/min. Good results have been seen with non-absorbant substrates such as coated polypropylene. However, in order to get full release on paper or board substrates, a primer may be needed. Pulse can offer HD200 UV flexo primer. Depending on the absorbency of the substrate, primer film weights of 6-20 g/cm3 are needed, with higher film weights needed for the more absorbent substrates. Trialling is essential.

SUBSTRATES
Coated paper and board. Treated/primed polyethylene, polypropylene. Other substrates may be suitable on testing.

STORAGE & HANDLING
Store at temperatures between 50C and 250C. Protect from sunlight. In unopened containers EL088 has a shelf life of 12 months.

EL165 UV RELEASE VARNISH

DESCRIPTION
Mid viscosity semi-gloss varnish giving release for 'peel & read' applications.

PROPERTIES
Excellent release, Good chemical and product resistance, Mid viscosity, Good adhesion, Not suitable for foil blocking / thermal transfer

APPLICATION
Stir / shake very well before use. This product can be either flexo or screen applied. Film weight 6 g/cm3 minimum Rollers EPDM. Flat 120T - 140T, Gallus: KM - KF, Stork 315/15% - 305/13%. UV Lamps: minimum 120 w/cm. Print speeds up to 80 m/min. In order to get full release on paper or board substrates, a primer may be needed.

Pulse can offer

HD200 UV flexo or RS000UV screen primers. Depending on the absorbency of the substrate, primer film weights of 6-20 g/cm3 are needed, with higher film weights needed for the more absorbent substrates. Trialling is essential.
