DESCRIPTION
One pack bright silver ink with high metallic effect for flexographic printing. Designed primarily for the printing of self adhesive labels.
PROPERTIES
Stable One Pack Inks. High Brilliance. Fast cure speed. Solvent-free. Low viscosity. Good rub and adhesion
APPLICATION
Mix well before use. Anilox 80-120 l/cm. Cell volume 10-13 cm3/m2. Plates: most plates for UV use. UV Lamps: minimum 80 w/cm. Print speeds up to 90 m/min achievable with 12 cm3/m2 and 140 w/cm lamp.
SUBSTRATES
Coated papers and boards. Coated/treated PE. Other materials after suitable testing
GUIDELINES FOR USE
Additives: Additives may be used to alter the ink properties to suit particular press conditions.
Photoinitiator: Add up to 3% to increase cure speed.
UV Thinner: Add up to 5% to reduce the viscosity of the ink.
Thermal Printing: RLM inks are not suitable for thermal papers
Varnishes: RLM series may be varnished with a UV Varnish to improve resistance properties of the ink. Our technical department can provide advice for the best varnish for your application.
Cleaning: Equipment does not need to be cleaned immediately provided there is no exposure to sunlight. Ink should be cleaned with a specialist UV wash such as RLA350.
STORAGE & HANDLING
Store at temperatures between 100C and 200C. In unopened containers RLM277-04 ink has a shelf life of 3 months.
