CUSTOMER SERVICE CO-ORDINATOR (PART-TIME)

We are looking for a Customer Service Co-Ordinator to join our Sales Support team based in Yate, UK, working part-time from 9:30-4pm Monday – Friday.

Your role will entail being the first point of contact for customers globally; processing their orders and providing accurate information on stock availability and dispatch dates.

Research & Development Innovation Technician

As the leading and growing supplier of inks and coatings to the Narrow Web Label Market, we are looking to enhance our technical department with an R&D Innovation Technician.

We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual that has a passion for science, particularly chemistry. You will be required to resolve technical enquires, collaborate with other departments to carry out investigations, support our Production department with manufacturing issues and work closely with customers both on new development and current products.

Ideally, this position will suit a Chemistry graduate or an individual with experience in R & D. However, if you believe you have the skills and knowledge to join the team and make a difference then we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with/undertake projects to develop new products based on market demands, regulatory changes or purchasing requirements.
  • Prepare and test flexographic/screen printed, water-based/UV curing, inks and varnishes.
  • Add formulas and maintain them on our IT systems.
  • Support manufacturing and process improvements with technical knowledge when required.
  • Provide support to any laboratory activity associated with the day-to-day running of the lab.
  • Attend and contribute to relevant meetings.
  • Take responsibility for developing test methods and techniques within the framework of the project program.
  • Contribute to teaching activities and facilitate the sharing of knowledge within the department.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient working environment.
  • Liaising with raw material and service suppliers where necessary with regard to quality, development issues and for new products of interest to Pulse.
  • Responsible for ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company operating procedures.
  • Organise work according to ensure projects remain on course and highlight any issues when they arise.
  • Responsible for adhering to Company policy and procedures on Health and Safety.

Experience/Skills:

  • Literacy and numeracy – The keeping of records both in paper files and computer formats, scientific report writing.
  • Computer skills – A working knowledge of MS Word and Excel, Outlook.
  • Scientific background – qualifications in a science discipline, preferably chemistry, with previous experience in a similar role.
  • Teamwork – Working within and across teams and departments.
  • Communication – Clear communication skills as you will be dealing with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivation / Decision making – High level of self-motivation to be able to work independently, with the confidence to make decisions.
  • Organisation – The need to multi-task on a regular basis, working to tight and/or agreed timelines.
  • Confidentiality – The ability to work on highly sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Creative problem solver, to create solutions and opportunities out of perceived problems.
  • A strong desire for quality and excellence.
  • Situational leadership and coaching skills.

This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Salary is dependent on skills, ability and experience. Benefits include 25 days annual holiday, pension scheme and free parking.
